I tested this and initially got the same result as you.  So I edited the Project Settings (not in File -> Options) for the active project, in fact for the file I had open at the time, and set this:

Now I get this:

Perhaps the problem is related to you changing this setting in the wrong place?  If I confirm the first one the others are autopropagated correctly without the AM:

Perhaps a couple of other things to check:

1. What version of Studio are you using?

2. Check your windows language settings and make sure you see the same thing.  Maybe windows is overruling Studio here somehow?

I tried your suggestion of changing the setting in the Project Settings pane, but it already had the right setting:

But I still get the same problem:

And also, if you notice, in the next couple of segments, the original confirmed 100% match segment of "10:00" translates with no "AM" beside it, yet the following segment of "10:05" translates as "10:05 AM".

Weird.

By the way, I believe I'm using the latest update of Studio 2017:

I'm also using Parallels Desktop on a Mac.

Ah, that last sentence turned out to be the important one.

I changed the settings on the Mac side too, but no luck, things remained the same.

It then occurred to me to reboot the virtual machine, which I did by shutting it down entirely and then rebooting (i.e., not by using the Windows restart command).

What do you know, all fixed!

May I suggest drawing attention to this behavior in Studio's time format settings pane?
