Studio 2019 does not accept the font setting for source language in Font Adaptation

I don't want Studio 2019 to mimic the source document as regards font faces and sizes, I want my own settings. But the setting for the source language is not accepted. Studio 2019 was closed and started again after making this setting, so it should work, but it does not.

  • Killing the 15.0.0.0 folder means painstakingly re-entering all my settings, and I want to avoid it at all cost. Even if the cost means looking at lop-sided fonts in the translation grid.

Here's my screenshot. Nothing fancy about my settings. I like the font size large, because my sight isn't what it used to be.

And elsewhere I set the display to show all tags and no formatting.

The funny thing is that when I opened an sdlxliff file sent by a client without a project, my choice of source font face for US English was reflected. It is not reflected in projects.

Trados Studio font adaptation settings with minimum and maximum source and target font sizes set to 16 and 24 respectively, and custom language font for English (United States) set to Bookman Old Style.
