Cannot open sdlliff file VERY URGENT

Hi,

I am not able to open a file on which I was working after closing and reopening Studio 2017.

I have almost completed the translation, but I am unable to reopen the file. This is the second time I am encountering this problem.

My Studio has become very slow these days, confirming mere segment takes more than a minute to be confirmed.

How do I remedy this problem?

Regards,

Alain.

  • Were you using a TM with your project? If so, all you need to do is find the TM, create a new project, add the original Word file to the project, attach the TM and pre-translate the file. To find your TM, remember that the file extension is sdltm, so you could search your computer to find it. If you created the TM yourself and saved it to a specific location, it should still be there. If you created the TM but let Studio use the default location, then it will very likely be in a folder inside the project folder.

If you didn't create a TM or didn't use an existing TM while working on your project, then, unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve your work if the sdlxliff was damaged. Fingers crossed that you do indeed have a TM!
