Hi all,
I was wondering, how I can exclude CM segments from the QA process. As far I can see, this option is not available in Studio 2017, but would be very practical.
Best regards
Jan

Hi Jan Reitsma
As far as I am aware there is no global setting to do this. However, here is a simple workaround:
With your document open in Studio 2017* onwards, use your Advanced display filter like this:
Click on 'Apply filter'. Only the Context Matches will then be displayed in the Editor window.
Click on the first number cell to the left:
Scroll without touching anywhere in the segments, either with your cursor using the side toolbar or with your mouse wheel, down to the bottom.
Click on the last number cell without clicking anywhere else.
The entire filtered content will become highlighted. This can take some time.
Either hit 'Ctrl+L' on your keyboard or right-click a number cell (nowhere else) and select 'Lock segments' from the dropdown menu.
Clear the filter.
Then ensure that in Project Settings you have this box ticked:
As you will see, you can already exclude Perfect matches here also. Then you can run your QA Checker. The above will also work here:
here...
and anywhere else you have set to ignore locked segments, such as in the Number Verifier plugin here:
Hope this helps...
All the best,
Ali
*In older versions of Studio, this can be done but maybe less accurately via the Review Tab display filter:
Click on the dropdown arrow and select 'Context matches and Perfect Match'
Then click into the Search box and hit 'Enter' then continue as above.
