My Trados Studio 2017 does not allow me to choose the language-pair when I open a new project

Hello everyone,

The Translation Memory window does not pop-out when I open a new project; therefore, I cannot choose the language-pair. My Trados Studio 2017 automatically choose EN(US)-SP(Latam). I must have clicked the option of "do not show this window again", not sure.

Does anyone know how I can "recover" this option, so I can choose the language-pair I want before starting translating a project?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Pablo G.

Just curious, what language is SP? And SP(Latam)? No such standard code. As far as I know, I never saw SDL using such denomination, nor anywhere else (TBX, TMX, XLIFF, etc.) Do you mean Spanish? For Spanish the ISO 639-1 code is "es" (whereas the ISO 639-2 code for the same language is "spa"). Could it be "es-419"? From the SDL documentation center I get this table https://docs.sdl.com/LiveContent/content/en-US/SDL_MediaManager_241/concept_A9F20DF9433C46FF8FED8FA11A29FAA0

    es-AR Spanish - Argentina
    es-BO Spanish - Bolivia
    es-CLe Spanish - Chile
    es-CO Spanish - Colombia
    es-CR Spanish - Costa Rica
    es-DO Spanish - Dominican Republic
    es-EC Spanish - Ecuador
    es-ES Spanish - Spain
    es-GT Spanish - Guatemala
    es-HN Spanish - Honduras
    es-MX Spanish - Mexico
    es-NI Spanish Spanish - Nicaragua
    es-PA Spanish - Panama
    es-PE Spanish - Peru
    es-PR Spanish - Puerto Rico
    es-PY Spanish - Paraguay
    es-SV Spanish - El Salvador
    es-UY Spanish - Uruguay
    es-VE Spanish - Venezuela

And, from within Studio, I get this list:

Screenshot of Trados Studio language selection dropdown menu showing various Spanish language options including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, International, Latin America, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, El Salvador, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
