Hi all,
I am trying to create a project with a PowerPoint file. After some 63% of conversion into translatable format the error Cannot find central directory is shown.
Tried it on two different Windows 10 computers. Any ideas?

Hello Ethel Perez Agija Kemmann
It is not always easy to locate the specific slide that causes the issues.
Try creating a new single file translation (with this file only) opening in Studio and then SAVE AS immediately without doing anything.
If you have a problem at this stage you know then its the file itself causing the issue.
Now take the PPT and split into two and repeat the process as above until you get to the slide that is causing the problem.
Also you can try the following-
1) Take original PPT and resave- this can fix some issues.
2) Resave the PPT into a different PPT version and retry.

What I actually did was look through the presentation and try to identify what could cause a problem - a graphic a table something "unusual". Then delete this slide and try convertig again. Similar to what Steven Whale is suggesting.
Hello Steven,
With this problem, it's impossible to pass through the "opening" stage in Studio so I wouldn't be able to do "SAVE AS". I get the error message before the xliff is created.
I found a workaround this problem which is efficient: I save my Powerpoint .pptx file as a .ppt file and that does the trick; the error message doesn't show up anymore. When the translation is finished you can save the .ppt file back as .pptx. The graphs that were problematic will disappear then, but you just have to paste them back in.
Have a nice day.
Ethel
