"Cannot find central directory" error when creating a project with a PowerPoint file/adding a PowerPoint file to a project (Studio 2019)

Question

Hi all, 
 
 I am trying to create a project with a PowerPoint file. After some 63% of conversion into translatable format the error Cannot find central directory is shown. 
 Tried it on two different Windows 10 computers. Any ideas?

Without creating a project (using single file translation option) are you able to open the file and then immediately SAVE TARGET AS? 
 
If you can- 
then recreate the project in a new folder and give the project a new name (this often resolves such issues). 
 
If you cannot- 
this would suggest there is something wrong in the original source file and will need a closer look. 
A simple test would be to simply re save the file (maybe in a different version of PPT) then try reopening in Studio as above.

 It is not always easy to locate the specific slide that causes the issues. 
 
 Try creating a new single file translation (with this file only) opening in Studio and then SAVE AS immediately without doing anything. 
 If you have a problem at this stage you know then its the file itself causing the issue. 
 Now take the PPT and split into two and repeat the process as above until you get to the slide that is causing the problem. 
 Also you can try the following- 
 1) Take original PPT and resave- this can fix some issues. 
 2) Resave the PPT into a different PPT version and retry.
