Combining multiple project into one for proofreading

Question

Hi Guys, 
 I recently started a task which is spread in about 30-40 short projects (not files inside projects, just separate little Trados project packages). I've already translated them, but I'd need to edit and proofread them. Could it be possible to combine the projects into one continuous text like it's possible combine the files of a single project? Thanks!

Studio does not offer this functionality unfortunately. 
You would need to open each package (PPX) individually and proofread- and then move on to the next one. 
Maybe if you received all the packages from the same client, you could ask them to create a single package with all the files you need to proofread?- saving both you and your client possibly quite a lot of time

 While, as Steven says, Studio isn't capable of working on several projects simultaneously yet, it is possible to work around this. 
 As Steve has indicated, you can ask the client to send you all the documents in one project - without subfolders - OR you can achieve this yourself as follows... 
 Start the new project wizard to create a project based on one of the client's projects so it incorporates all settings and resources (memory, termbase, etc) automatically. 
 Then, at the 'Add Files' step, navigate to each of the TARGET sdlxliff files in the individual project folders and add them to the new project. 
 Keep doing this till you have included all the documents you wish to proof together then proceed with the next steps of the project creation wizard, selecting Task sequence ' Analyse only ' at the batch tasks step (or equivalent in your version of Studio): 
 
 As you'll see in the above screenshot, 'Analyse only' means the SDLXLIFF files will be untouched. On completion of the new project you can open them together consecutively as if they were one file by highlighting them all in the new project in the Files view, then selecting 'Open for Review' (better than 'translation' because when you confirm a segment, its status changes from Translated to Translation approved, so you can see where you've got to and the reviewing process will skip over duplicates of what you've already read). 
 When you've finished, open Windows Explorer and navigate to your Studio projects ( C:\Users\ username \Documents\Studio year version \Projects ), then open two Windows Explorer windows, one to the target folder of the first of the individual projects and the other to the target folder of the 'mass project' you can copy and paste each individual sdlxliff back into the project it came from, allowing it to overwrite the unproofed sdlxliff. Then you can create and return that package individually as usual. Repeat with each of the SDLXLIFF documents & projects. 
 If you would like more detailed explanation of each step with screenshots, let me know which version you use and I'll provide them. 
 I do the above all the time. It's a bit tricky when you first do it but becomes a quick manual process once you're used to it. 
 Maybe this functionality will become available automated in a future version of Studio or by means of an App on the AppStore, it's sooo useful when one receives a series of files to translate or proofread.
