Hi,
I need to change the initial 5 languages of Studio 2019. Is there any way to do it without uninstalling Studio?
I tried repairing Studio but it always starts as usual, without asking for the languages.
Kind regards
Sandor

Running a Windows Repair of Studio 2019 should create a clean version that prompts you to enter your 5 languages again. Maybe rebooting your system before opening Studio again might help.
If that doesn't work then reinstalling is the answer. There is no other way I'm afraid.

Have you by any chance upgraded from Studio Freelance to Studio Professional?
If so, you don't need to choose 5 languages as you can use as many languages as you wish.

Another scenario that would not require the 5 languages prompt is if you have Studio installed as a Trial version.
The Trial version always installs as the Professional version, until the trial period runs out or you activate a Freelance or Freelance Plus license.
When working with the Trial/Professional version, you can change the Source and/or Target languages on the first page of the Project Creation Wizard. Click on the dropdown next to the language that appears on the right-hand section of the window.
Does this help?
If you're unable to resolve this and you do only have the Freelance version then you need installation help.
You can get free help very quickly here:
Fill out the form, remembering to select 'Installation' at the 'Case Type' dropdown menu AND to give your email address accurately so that they can contact you to resolve the issue.
All the best,
Alison

When Support have found a solution, would you kindly share it with us in a post on this thread? I'm very interested to know how this could be happening.
All the best,
Alison
As indicated in my first post in this thread, running a Windows Repair of SDL Trados Studio should be enough to reset Studio so that next time you open Studio you will be prompted to add 5 languages again.
If that doesn't work (which until now has been rare) then reinstalling Studio normally resets Studio so that you have to add 5 languages again.
All the best,
Alison
