Can't run pretranslate batch task

Studio 2019. Word 2019. New laptop. Was fine on older laptop with older Word. Any ideas please?

    As this issue isn't being reported else where else and you mention that you have a new machine (old machine never had any issues) then I think its time to start looking at the machine itself.
    I am assuming you are running Windows 10? So please run a full Windows (and MS Office) update- you may need to run this a couple of times before MS installs all the updates.

    Now, please take a look at your AntiVirus provider and ensure you do NOT have more than one provider installed and active.
    Temporarily disable the AV - log out of LC and then back in and see if this makes any difference.

    The other option worth trying is to rename the LC folder-
    Close Studio
    1.Go to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL
    AppData is a hidden folder. windows.microsoft.com/.../show-hidden-files
    2. Find "LanguageCloud.bin"
    3. Rename the file to LanguageCloud_OLD.bin.
    4. Start Studio
    5. Go to File -> Language Cloud and see if it is displayed correctly
