Does the Terminology Verifier work with regular expressions (regex)

I am currently trying to find out if the Terminology Verifier in Trados Studio 2017 works with Regular Expressions or if it is a purely literal search. if anyone knows and could let me know, that would be very helpful as I am about to start setting up a fairly large list of terms and would like to know before I waste my time.

As info, I have so far been setting up my QA checker with things that I want to check no matter what, but I need to be able to change out some things based on what I work on, and as far as I can see the easier way is to have several terminology lists that I can change out, instead of making several QA settings that I change around.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Doesn't it work with PuzzyMatch ?
I do not know what it means exactly but I guess it should be more than the purely literal search.

In a way it does.  These settings relate to the ability of the verification to be fuzzy and which type of segments (Perfect Match, Exact Match, Fuzzies) to apply verification on.  But the original question referred to using regular expressions and plain text searches.  There is no flexibility in the terminology verification settings to create your own words or expressions to verify against.

Maybe I completely misunderstood the original question seeing as you clearly read this a different way to me?  I guess we'll know when  responds.
