Corrupted powerpoint file.

After generating target pptx files from a Studio project, a message to repair the corrupted file appears when you open the generated pptx file. Clicking on the Repair button does not help.
We have noticed that for the same Studio project in several languages some are OK but some are not. We have also noticed that if we use the TM and retranslate the PP file previously saved in .ppt format we manage to have a powerpoint (.ppt) file with no problem.

Thank you for your help

  • Hello  ,

Just for clarification- is the 'project' a PPX package which maybe you have received back from a freelancer perhaps?

Which version of Studio/Office do you use and which version does your translator use?

Are you able to take the original PPTX- Open this as a single file translation in Studio and then SAVE AS immediately (without translating anything)?

Could you  post the full error message please- this often helps determine the problem-

  • The project is a Studio project from our Pro Studio 2017 and the return packages from Studio Freelance 2017.
The error message is when you open the translated Powerpoint file, everything look fine in Studio, you can generate the PP file but when you open it, slides are corrupted and no repair works.
Same thing with only SAVE AS, powerpoint detect a problem with the content in the PP file. Y mayou manage to open the file but some slides are not correct.
