Hi all,
Please, bear with me as I have not worked that much with Trados, and when I did was with long time inbetween uses, and I am very rusty...
For a new project I just cannot afford to blow I have received a project file and a return package.
This project id for me to review a translation, not to translate.
The client asked me to open the package file and then import the return package.
A) What I understand I should do is: 1) Open project package, and then 2) Open the Return Package. Once the project folder is created within Trados, I right-click on the file name and open as choose "Open-for-review". After I am done with each segment, I control-enter to confirm each one as I go along.
Is the above the right procedure?
B) This question might sound stupid, or make no sense...but regarding the translation memory, if I ctrl-enter each segment as I go along to confirm the revision on that specific segment, later on if I come up with a segment very similar to the previous one, when offering a suggestion, would the system give priority to my confirmed one, to the translation memory, or offer both? I ask this as I seem to recall (maybe I'm wrong) that in the past if I confirmed each segment, then later when I came back to re-read my changes a final time, no suggestion from the TM was offered anymore.
Thanks a million
