It sounds to me as though the file has not been prepared correctly if you need to translate the text in the tag. Or... the text is actually in another location and is just referred to in the tag in which case you need access to the real source.
Can you elaborate a little more... perhaps share some screenshots?

Thank you so much for caring to answer my question.
I hope you will be able to view the attached screenshot.
In segment 86 for example, we have a tag in the source with the following text:
"<xr name= "See Heading value"= See "Acquiring an Image using the Acquisition Toolbar"."/>
As I need to keep the tag in the target, I have to copy-paste it there. But it will still appear in the source language in the final target document. Of course, I could add the translation between brackets, but there are so many fo these tags that the final document woud read painfully.
Do you have any additional hint?
