Understanding an analysis report - Repetitions and matches

Hello,

I need some help understanding an analysis report. If you sum up the repetitions, the various matches (50%-99%) and the new segments/words/characters, you get the total number of segments/words/characters. What exactly are repetitions and why are they not counted as matches?

Thank you very much.

Sara

  • Hi

Repetitions are repeat phrases that have not been translated yet.  So they are not a match yet, but you will get benefit from knowing you will only have to translate them once and then the TM will take care of the rest.  So it's important to know how many there are.
