Failed to save target content because "illustration was moved between paragraphs"

Hello!

I've been working on a PDF document with lots of images and when I try to save the target content, I am unable to. The screen that appears says the following: Failed to save target content: The illustration <shape name="138352"> was moved between paragraphs.

I have moved said shape to the beginning of the paragraph in the target segment, but I am unable to move it in the source segment. Do you know how I can fix this?

Thank you in advance for your time!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth

  • I am quite respectful. And the fact you have to switch to the target language is known since adding files to a project is possible. It is not my fault, that you do not know the basic, but still post things like "So, the regular trados shortcut: create the entire thing again"–this is what I call moaning.

  • Sir, use that kind of language to the female family or relatives, Or your mother... not to people who just wasted 20 minutes here 10 minutes there to convince the software. You and I are never going to agree, so dont cross basic lines of respect. It cost me 30 minutes that is why I am frustrated, if it was intuitively available, I would have done it. I wont waste my time explaining like before. so, watch your language!

  • It is intuitively available, when using "Quick add files", which is present since at least Studio 2019.

Trados Studio interface showing the 'Add Files' dropdown menu with options 'Quick Add Files', 'Add Files and Run Custom Batch Tasks', and 'Add Reference Files'. A red error icon appears next to 'Delete Files' option.

  • If you don't know the very basics, but blame the software for your missing knowledge, you cannot mind an expert who gradually gets annoyed about such ignorance to keep the velvet gloves on! And Jerzy only said "moaning", HE DIDN'T INSULT YOU, you should be able to tolerate this and try to learn!

  • You instead shut up. We have a history and not a good one but always respectful until today. You wrote "shut up" end edited. Hush! you! I dont have time to waste like this. Shut up as you said.

  • Seriously, stop writing please.

  • What do you mean with "a history and not a good one? Are you getting political, bah! Trying to discuss with someone like you is forlorn hope.

  • It is not political, we had some arguments with him yesterday and it was rather respectful. That is the history. Nothing political. This is not the place for that if I were to do that. Thanks.

  • I'm closing this thread.  The original post has already been answered and I don't think the conversation now is helpful.  Please remember that this forum is intended to be a helpful place for all users, so when you ask questions please try to provide as much information as possible about the problem and try to stick to the point.

If you are kind enough to reply and offer some advice then similarly try to avoid personal comments and stick to the point.  It can be tricky working in a forum with so many different cultures and levels of knowledge, but if we all remember that everyone either needs help or is trying to help then I think it's a great place to discuss things without any moderation needed.
