SDL Trados 2017 crashes with two errors - KERNELBASE.DLL and System.ArgumentException

Hello,

I've been working with SDL Trados 2017 (SR1) for two years now without problems - until last week. Since then, more precisely since the last update of Windows 10 (support.microsoft.com/.../oct-15-2019-kb4520405-cumulative-update-for-net-framework), I've been unable to run the application. It doesn't event start, it crashes immediately. Removing the upgrade (i.e. downgrading the system) doesn't help. See the event evidence below (English version for each description entered as a //comment).

Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I'm practically paralyzed now.

    thank you very much, this solution proved to be the right one. However, another problem has arisen: activation of the license. I was unable to deactivate my previous SDL Trados before the unistallation offline (since I didn't have the access to the app, which was the problem at the first place) and an online uninstallation was (and still is) unavailable as well. So now, after the reinstallation of the product, I cannot activate it (the license is for one user).

    Could you please advise me who can I turn to to deactivate the license? It seems that I don't have the right license for the support and maintenance or any other service I would normally contact.

    Thank you anyway, you've already spared me a great deal of time.

    Normally you can reset your own license via your SDL account (freelance only- Pro users need to log a ticket)-

    If you cant do this for any reason can you send me your account details (swhale@sdl.com) and then I can check the licence status and advise on the next step please.

    thank you for the answer. Since I'm not a freelancer, I had to contact my vendor in order to log a ticket and eventually de- and re-activate the license. It is finished now and Trados works as it did before.
