SDL TRADOS STUDIO 2019 SR2 - 15.2.5.2145 crashes suddenly when left for a long time

Hello,
As mentioned in the title above, whenever I work on the application then leave it, say for 30 mins. or so, it's no more there when I return back, that is, it simply crashes leaving no error messages.

My OS is Windows 10, kept up-to-date, I have 8 GB of RAM, and work on an SSD.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hello ,

I found a similar case from a while back

    https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/f/openexchange_applications/21001/studio-2019-shuts-down-by-itself

Maybe try resetting Studio will help

    https://gateway.sdl.com/articles/SolutionArticles/000001417

If not, please log a support ticket (selecting 'Submit Case'

    https://gateway.sdl.com/liveagentlicensing

Once this has been resolved, please let us know what helped in this instance.

  • Thanks Steven,
I forgot to tell you that I already tried the reset solution, but unfortunately it didn't work, actually the last crash happened after the reset.
I removed most of the plugins, keeping only 2 or 3 that I mostly use, still the same.

I'll try turning off Uplift and see it it works.

  • I am having the same thing! Ever since I installed this cumulative release, I am facing all sort of error messages. That is a real pain to say the least.

  • even the TTS plugin stopped working again for me. Paul Filkin is very much aware of this issue because we spent a lot of time addressing it before with the developer.
