The first thing I would try is simply to close Studio and then reboots your PC and reopen Studio (this solves a number of unexplained issues).

If this doesn't help then its worth checking your templates  (File > Setup>Project Templates) and check the paths of each template and removing possible duplicates or one that may be pointing to the wrong folder.

The next option might be to rename the project template folder-

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019\Project Templates\ (add_old or something).

Now relaunch Studio

Thank you very much for your kind reply.

Actually, I think that I have a bit of a mess with templates, probably as a result of not importing (but instead coping) my templates when I upgraded Trados Studio.

Following your advise I've just renamed Templates folder, to no avail. Then I imported a template and tried again, but it was also useless.

I've restarted my PC many times since I first realized (15 days ago) that I couldn't open this project (projet 1) . I've been working on another one (project 2), but now I have to start reviewing project 1 and I can't open it!

Of course I could always use the bilingual file to create a new project...  I don't want to make many changes in fear that I could have problems with project 2.

Any other ideas?

Hello DGS ,

One of the problems here is the copying over of templates from previous versions.

Studio doesn't really like this at all.

I would suggest removing these templates and then recreating the project using new templates.

This should help resolve the problem.

Hi Steven,

I created a new template and a new project 1 (using the bilingual file) and it's working properly.

Also project 2 seems to be working with it's old (which I'll keep till I deliver it).
