Problem With Generating Xliff file from IDML

Question

Hi, 
 I have imported an IDML file into Studio 2019 and have the message 'Pre-scanning error, the selected IDML file was created by an unsupported version of InDesign and will not be processed. I have checked with my client and they created the files using the latest version of InDesign 2020 (as it auto-updates, it&rsquo;s currently version 15.0.1.209). 
 I need to get an xliff produced and have a short turnaround time, any suggestions as to what could be the issue and how to resolve it?

 You can force Studio to process the file by unticking the setting " Process unsupported file versions " The settings is under File > Options > File Types 
 
 Having said that, I would also run a test and generate the target file just to be safe. Now, if this doesn't work, InDesign can export IDML files for older versions of InDesign. I believe under Save As there is the option " InDesign CS4 or Later (IDML) ".
