Problem With Generating Xliff file from IDML

Hi,

I have imported an IDML file into Studio 2019 and have the message 'Pre-scanning error, the selected IDML file was created by an unsupported version of InDesign and will not be processed. I have checked with my client and they created the files using the latest version of InDesign 2020 (as it auto-updates, it’s currently version 15.0.1.209). 

I need to get an xliff produced and have a short turnaround time, any suggestions as to what could be the issue and how to resolve it?

    You can force Studio to process the file by unticking the setting "Process unsupported file versions"
    The settings is under File > Options > File Types

    Having said that, I would also run a test and generate the target file just to be safe.
    Now, if this doesn't work, InDesign can export IDML files for older versions of InDesign. I believe under Save As there is the option "InDesign CS4 or Later (IDML)".
