Interestingly we were asked to remove this a year or so ago.. so we did.  Then had an overwhelming request to put it back.  It's only a click and serves to make sure you're sure before clicking on ok.  There is no undo!

Still, the usual and very good practice is to add a little "Do not ask me again" check box to such messages...

And when this is accompanied by a corresponding "Reset disabled messages" option in user settings, voila!, there is a solution for everyone.

A good point Evzen... I logged this as SDLCOM-1339 and we'll add it.

I guess if you manually change the settings all the time it might be nice with a warning. But when only using project templates it makes no sense. You say there is no undo, but I only have to return to the last template to get back the settings.

Paul Filkin This is such good news! It would also be nice if ALL "Are you sure you want to do this"-type messages (such as closing any wizard or removing a project from the projects list) had a "Do not ask me again" check box.

In Studio 2017, this specific warning prompt only appeared when, after selecting the project template on the first screen and making changes in further screens, you came back to the first screen and selected a different template. Which made sense, because you had made changes that weren’t specified in the template, so selecting a different template would undo those changes. But in Studio 2019 you get the message regardless of whether you’ve changed anything in any of the other fields or screens.... When changing the project template is the first thing you do after opening the wizard, the message is definitely not warranted. You mention it’s only a click, but for Project Managers who repeat this process dozens of times per day, "just one" click per project quickly adds up to lots of clicks!
