New entry in Termbase CTRL+F2 or CTRL+SHIFT+F2 via Project View

Hi,

when I mark a word in the source segment and in the target segment Screenshot showing Trados Studio interface with a split view, the source segment word 'BIOGORIVO' highlighted in green and the target segment word 'BIOKRAFTSTOFF' highlighted in red. and wonna add it to the TB with the function Quick add to the termbase (CTRL+SHIFT+F2) it adds both words to the target langauge, then I have manually to add the source langauge (+new langauge), cut and delete one entry in the target langauge and copy it to the source langauge entry.

Termbase Viewer window in Trados Studio with the term 'BIOKRAFTSTOFF' added twice under the 'GERMAN' language section, indicating an error in term entry.

To get this:

Corrected Termbase Viewer window showing 'BIOKRAFTSTOFF' under 'GERMAN' and 'BIOGORIVO' under 'SERBIAN (LATIN)', demonstrating the manual correction of the term entry.

Don't know what I have done wrong by creating the TM, because in the SDL Multiterm is everything fine, only in the Project view I have this problem. Have done the last available update for Studio and Multiterm, but it didn't solved this problem.

Best regards,

Luka

  • Hi Paul,

also, would like to report also probably a other bug. It happens also often. For example, working now on a other project with the lagnauge combination DE-SR. Have in a previos segment added a term to the TB and in the next segments where appears the to the TB added term again it isn't recognized from the Term Recognition, but when I use the Termbase search, I find it in the TB. This problem I have also often.

So, have in the segment 292 added the term to the termbase. After it have clicked on several other segments.

Screenshot of Trados Studio interface showing a segment with the term added to the termbase not being recognized in the Term Recognition pane.

The term appears again in the segment 294, but the term recognition didn't recognized it, also in other segments with this term appears the same problem.

Screenshot of Trados Studio's Term Recognition pane displaying 'No results available' message, indicating a failure to recognize the term.

    Termbase search:

Screenshot of Trados Studio's Termbase Search pane with the term 'diag' entered and a list of related terms displayed, confirming the term exists in the termbase.

    Best regards,

    Luka
