Importing TMX files

Hi all,

Something weird has been happening to me recently. I have been trying to import TMX files into my existing TM, I can select them ans everything, but at the end of the import the report always says "Read: 0 Imported: 0 Error:0", so it seems like SDL Studio is not reading my TMX files.

I have also tried going via "upgrade translation memories", but when I select the TMX files these don't get added at all.

I have previously imported TMX files successfully, does anyone know why this issue may be occurring?

  • Check the validity of your TMX file - I had similar case today, where Studio would not accept a TMX for upgrade and delivered errors when importing. The TMX was not valid, I checked with a TMX validator I downloaded from the internet. You can also download the free Okapi Olifant tool, then open the TMX there and save under a new name. Usually this will resolve all problems or show, that your TMX is damaged.
