At a Copenhagen Roadshow Lydia showed when preparing a project (from Word) that lists of numbers such as product numbers could be suppressed and therefore not show up in the source segments. Can you guide me, please, to this instruction ... i.e. 'How to'. Thanks. Birthe
I don't know how to exclude such segments from being inserted into SDLXLIFF, but you can filter, copy and lock all such segments in Studio using a simple regex in the display filer:
^[\d\W]*$
This will show all segments, which contain just numbers or other non translatable items.

In addition to the suggestion from Jerzy (which I think is the best idea)... you could search and replace the numbers in Word to make them non-translatable an then any number only segments would indeed be suppressed and probably not show up at all.
Can you remember anything about the solution provided.

Thank you Jerzy for this solution. It may be better than my own simplistic one of going through the word files before creating the project and hide the relevant passages ... then of course I will have to unhide them before delivering the job!!
Thank you Paul. I am sorry that I do not remember, and the worst part is that I do not recognize neither your nor Jerzy's suggestion. Maybe it was just a figment of my imagination - maybe it was only related to Excel files? Anyway, I will be plotting on and venture into the world of regex'es. If it does not work for me, There's the hard way left.
As for Lydia Simplicio's solution, I have not been able to recreate her steps. Sorry.
