You seem to have shown the same screenshot twice and it's not the one showing the problem.  However, can you check that your Main TM is where you think it is?  Hover over the TM in your screenshot (US-IT.sdltm) and make sure it's where Studio thinks it is.

Sorry for the inconvenience, anyway the problem is that I get the error "The translation unit was not updated (No error detected.)."

Thank you for your promt reply. The TM are in the correct position. I used the dialog box to choose the path inside my PC. The project tm has been created automatically from the SDL Trados.

ok - if you are using Studio 217 then please make sure you have fully updated and then try again. You should have this version:

SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1 - 14.1.10018.54792
SDL MultiTerm 2017 SR1 - 14.2.8.55461

I do not have installed the multiterm, I do not need it for my purpose, is it mandatory for SDL trados to work?

Anyway the version is the latest one

No, it's not mandatory.  But if you use, or even have installed, both applications it's important to keep them in synch.

Hi still have this issue, now I have installed the sdl 2017 on my new laptop and I performed the upgrade to latest version.

I found that this issue is not present if I install the SDL from the installer without perform the upgrade.

The tricky situation I found is this

First of all I found that a segment is not translated as I want: in this case the segment OXY that in my case I do not want to translate in italian and i leave as it is. I confirm the translation and the message appears.

But if I change the translation

then it works.

if I try to set it again to the original it comes again the first message.

Can anyone give me some checks to do?

I have exactly the same issue that you reported above some month ago. Did you manage to solve it? if yes, how?

It seems to fail when you want to save target = source, only one word, uppercase and just a few characters (3?).
