1) where are your resources saved? Locally or in the cloud?

2) Are you working on a local project or with GroupShare

3) The exact version of Studio 2019 (Help- About Studio) and the version of the app, his might help us identify the problem.

Thanks for your quick reply! There is no icon in the error box - it looks like this. So I don't know how to see the full error stack. I've also stopped getting any suggestions from Language Cloud in Autosuggest even when it is enabled. My subscription is up to date.

1) My resources are all saved locally on my hard drive, and I only back up manually to Dropbox.

2) It's a local project - I never work in GroupShare. The problem happens both with project packages sent by clients, and with projects I create myself.

3) I have Trados Studio 2019 Freelance.

It's important to actually know which version of Studio you are actually running and that you are on the latest version-

- along with which version of the app you are running.

Many issues can easily be resolved by simply ensuring all applications are up to date- especially as this error is very generic.

Thanks for this- most useful. 

You are indeed still running one of the earliest versions of the Studio 2019 which should be updated.

There have been a number of changes since the original release of Studio 2019.

Please log in to your account and then go to HELP- Check for updates and install.

The latest version is -

Once updated, restart your machine and install 

https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/sdl-machine-translation-cloud/941/

You should now be able to add the provider to your Project
