I use Dragon Professional Individual 15 with SDL Trados Studio 2019 on two different computers without any major issues. I dictate directly into Studio, and don't use Dragon's dictation window. When things start getting slow, I usually just restart Studio, which is faster than restarting Dragon, and everything goes back to normal. If your mouse is crashing, could there be some mouse-related software getting in the way?

When you say that you can use Dragon Dictate 15 with Studio without any problems, do you mean also the the text control features?

The problem were have with Studio 2019 is that people can dictate into dragon but they cannot use text control command like "Select <text>" and "Correct <text>". This functionality is described here:

As you mention that you have not come across major issue, I was wondering: does this work for you? If so, how did you make it work from Studio? Or you are just not using those commands? Or are there workarounds?

The issue is that when somebody should not (or cannot) type or use the mouse at all, not having commands like "Select <text>" raises some barriers on Studio's accessibility.

Thanks for any light you can shed! We contacted SDL Support but, with Dragon being a third-party tool, they don't provide any support (which I can understand from their side).

I'm not Nora but since I received your comment in my mailbox, I can at least say that you should view Nora's webinar: https://www.sdltrados.com/video/beyond-dictation-how-to-control-studio-by-voice-with-dragon-naturally-speaking/111200/ which indicates how to create your own text control commands for Studio. She emailed be a file listing some basic commands, you need a bit of time to add them but they work.

Given the very high price of the latest version (v15), it should be compatible with programs other than Office ones! Thanks a lot for your comments and the links! I really appreciate them. I had seen those links but had look into them in detail as they referred to Dragon Dictate 14. 

I thought that Dragon Dictate had better integration with SDL Studio but now I understand that Studio is not compatible with Dragon Dictate 14 either. It seems to be the same as for Dragon 15. 

We have a colleague who needs to work without typing for medical reasons and we need to find a solution where they can work with a CAT Tool typing as little as possible (ideally no typing).

I will ask her to see if creating custom comments works for her in Dragon Dictate 15!
