Please provide a portion of your word file that does this.  So do this:

1. copy your source file
2. delete everything apart from a few of the problem sentences
3. create a project in Studio
4. translate the file
5. save the target
6. check that you can still reproduce the issue and if you can zip up the following files:
   1. source word file
   2. sdlxliff file you translated
   3. target word file
7. Attach the zip to this thread

Thanks Paul for your response. The problem is I can't share the information in the source/target files because it's confidential. It's all figures and sensitive notes about the financial position of the company.

Maybe read what I wrote again.  You can easily remove the sensitive stuff and just provide a few anonymous sentences that portray the problem.  If you can't then I doubt you'll get much help with this bizarre issue.

Thank you Paul. I opened the Arabic-English file in SDL and saved it as a target. The problem has disappeared, which is really strange. The letter 'x" appears in all words like expense, tax, expenditure etc. Please see below this text taken from the target file I just saved. Few days ago, this text appeared   with the letter 'x' omitted from "expense", so the word appeared as 'epense' but now it's working.

Maybe when I save it again, it works. I'm working on big Arabic financial statements right now. Once I've translated the file, I'll convert it and check again and let you know if I encounter the same problem.
