Hi Maryline,

The new ribbon in Studio 2014 uses the alt key to activate the ribbon commands.  If you do this and then hit a key relating to the numbers that appear then this would activate something... and there is a shortcut to take you to the SDL website.  So if you were translating and you hit Alt+E+O then this would take you to www.sdl.com

You can't turn this off I'm afraid as this is default behaviour for the ribbon.  Perhaps it would be worth changing your shortcut so you don't use the Alt?  Ctrl+Enter may be enough for your needs and don't use the Alt key at all?

An IT specialist found the solution :

Check the selected profile in Tools > Manage User Profiles…

If it is “Default” or “SDLX”, then the shortcuts are different than what you are used to. Try changing the user profile to “SDL Trados”.

I though this might be useful for other users.

Just to make it clear. The user profile you should use is "Default" and not "SDL Trados". The user profile "SDL Trados" will give you the shortcuts that were used in the pre-Studio versions (Workbench, 2007 and older), which means for example that hitting CTRL-Enter will not confirm your segments.

Unless you really want to stick to the old shortcuts (that require the numeric keypad BTW), you should always select the user profile "Default". It is the one installed by default unless you change this when you are prompted so the first time you launch Studio.

Thanks for your info but my problem is that when I press ctrl-alt-enter, I get a serie of numbers on the top of my screen (which is due to shortcut apparently) and I cannot type in my translation, unless I press escape or the space bar several time. This is not confortable at all.

And I don't understand your position because as far as I can see, with both user profiles (Default and SDL Trados) the shortcuts remain the same and I have to press ctrl-alt-enter to confirm and move to the next segment. Or I am wrong?

So you are perfectly correct that for the command you wish to initiate they are the same.  So you probably have two options:

1. Use "Confirm and move to next Unconfirmed Segment" which is the way most people work I think.  Otherwise you always go to the next segment irrespective of whether you have already translated it or not.
2. Change the shortcut yourself in the options.  You can change any shortcut to whatever you find more comfortable so you could force Ctrl+Enter to be the shortcut for "Confirm and move to next segment" if you like?

OK, problem solved ! I changed the shortcut to ctrl+enter.
