TM size does not change when deleting TUs

Question

Hello! I have some huge TMs and want to reduce their size. So I deleted about half of the TUs (Batch Delete with filter), but I noticed that the TM size does not change. It seems that there is a kind of container which is'nt deleted and still uses disk space. 
 Is there a way to reduce the TM size without exporting to TMX and importing into a new TM? Thanks, Verena

 Thanks for that... you "forced" me to look at this properly and I can concur with your findings. I discussed with a developer who knows about this stuff and the problem is that we don't seem to run the vacuum command within Studio:

 Please back up your TM before doing this!! Then test thoroughly to make sure everything is still fine.

 Try running the "Performance and Tuning" features in the TM Maintenance View. Could be that your indexes need to be regenerated now you have removed half of your TU and these can take a bit of space; also if you'd run the UpLift features you should probably do that again. I've no idea what version of Studio you are using so don't know what you might have done to your TM initially.
