object reference not set to an instance or object with termbases

I'm getting this error when trying to connect to server termbase or adding to a local one. I have reinstalled Trados2019 and MultiTerm 2019 several times and am still getting this error every time. I know there is nothing wrong with the server termbase as other translators are using it without difficulty. None of the fixes previously posted here have done anything. Any ideas?

  • So most probably you have installed your software by double clicking it for the first time. Being logged in as admin does not make that big change. I would try to uninstall all SDL software, download the latest installers from your account, save these on desktop and the right click them one by one (FIRST Studio, then MultiTerm) and select "run as admin".
