I suggest you validate this first by using a completely new and empty TM with default rules.  I just tested this in Studio 2019 using en(GB) - es(ES) and see this:

Also checked with en(US) - es(AR)... just guessing as you didn't tell us which variant you're using but the result is exactly the same anyway.

If it works with a default TM then you may need to take a look at your TM.  Either than or all the places in your project settings where you can influence how a number is handled... which I expect you know already.

My usual variants: en(US) - es(ES) and en(US)-es(Latin America) but your suggestion should work with any other variant I guess.
I will do what you suggested tomorrow, after a high priority delicery.

It worked fine, so I have to deal with my TMs.
I cross my fingers to set a proper filter for them.
