After downloading them are you trying to install from the downloads folder?

If so please move them to your desktop for example and then double click to install (some browsers will not allow you to execute an application from the downloads folder)

Now when you double lick, the installation should start and you you should find the plugins in the following folders

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Unpacked

For example

Now when you start Studio, you should have the option of adding -

I followed your instructions, thank you, but nothing has changed.

Please find some screenshots below.

The biggest difference compared to your screens seems to be that I do not have any AppData folder either where I should be supposed to find SDL plugins 

I use Windows 7 32-bit (yes, I know it is no more being updated, but I hoped that I could still use Trados on it as stated in your System Requirements page).

In regard to Windows 7, whilst most applications should run on the latest version of Windows 7 (you may need to update),

support for this OS was dropped by MS at the beginning of the year, and we no longer test apps in this environment.

You will have an appdata folder- it will just be hidden by default

Once you have located the mentioned folders above, you should then be able to see where the plugins have installed.

(Please note you should be logged on to the machine as ADMIN and not as a USER)

You can then try copying the plugins to the unpacked folder and then restarting your machine and Studio,

I was able to locate the AppData folder as you can see from the screenshot below.

However nothing about SDL appears in there.

I am logged as admin both in my pc and in Studio 2021 (I ran it as administrator).

How should I copy the plugins? This is process is not clear to me.

You need to navigate to this folder- C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\16\Plugins\Packages

Then simply copy (from where you saved the plugin) and paste the downloaded app into the folder

eg.

Now restart Studio and this should then be available.
