PDFs digitally signed - decoding problems

Question

I use SDL Trados 2019 and have problems with digitally signed pdfs. 
 
 Unfortunately, once the translation has been completed and the file has been exported, I cannot open it due to encoding errors that cannot be traced back to the PC I work from, nor to the original file (I did several tests from different PCs and with different files). 
 
 I would ask for support on this as I often work with digitally signed pdfs and I am unable to use Trados and my TMs.

 Anyone knows how to figure it out?

 The question of how to work with PDF's (not a translator friendly format at all) is raised on a regular basis
