It might be a problem related to the version of office you are using.  If it's possible for you to share the target translation before you "repaired it" we could take a look?

I am using Office 2013. And yes, I can share the target translation. Do you want only the PPT or also the xliff file? And how do I attach them here?

Both would be great.  Zip them into a single file and then use the Insert menu to attach a video/file.  Or just email it to me at pfilkin@sdl.com  I won't look at this until tomorrow so no rush.  Although if you attach to the post someone else might take a look in the meantime.

I'm not sure why this problem is occurring yet, and I can only get it using your file, but I have attached a working PPTX and the SDLXLIFF I used here:

I got this by doing this:

1. created a new project from your source file
2. created a TM from your translated file
3. pretranslated my project
4. saved the target

I could not use Perfect Match against your file as this also introduced a problem.  Can you tell me the full version number of your instance of Studio please?  I'm assuming you created the project so if this isn't the case please advise and also see if you can find out the version of Studio used to do this?

This is also what I have been doing to be able to open the translated file, but I shouldn't have to do this.

What do you mean by Full version number of your instance of Studio?

Yes I created the project.

Studio version is 16.1.2.4090
