Why does SDL Studio 2021 show all the Completed jobs as In Progress on the Projects menu?
Why does SDL Studio 2021 show all the Completed jobs as In Progress on the Projects menu?
The issue still persists even in the latest version. Logged a case at Support.
Hi All,
This issue has already been logged for RWS Development, in order for them to implement a fix in a future version of Trados Studio.
In the meantime the only workaround is unfortunately to reset the filter after each Studio restart, or when needed (set the project filter to show all project, then again to show projects in progress).
they've known about it for at least nine months.
i will not be holding my breath.
We're beta testing Studio 2021 SR2 at the moment. This problem is not occurring... it has never occurred in my setup anyway but I hope this will have been dealt with for you when the new SR is launched.
Maybe I've never had a problem because I never mark my projects as Completed, I always highlight them in the Projects view and Remove them. That way, it's simple to go back to them if I want to... which I frequently need to. This would be a permanent workaround for you, I should think. Try it and see...
All the best,
Ali
After the last SR2 release, the issue still persists
Same issue here, with the latest update installed. I know it's not the end of the world, but it is annoying to have to filter twice every time I start Studio in order to get the correct results
That is exactly my point. Especially considering it did work before, albeit a long time ago.
As to Alison Field's 'solution': that is not a solution. I (and others with me, I take it from the messages in this thread) mark projects as completed to be able to find them again quickly should a client have some questions. I only remove projects when I know they are truly finished and the client is happy with the result.
Removing the projects from the list entirely results in having to browse the client, sub-client and project folders in File Explorer to locate the specific project, instead of opening the 'completed' section and reverting the project to 'in progress' ... which I assume is what the feature was developed for in the first place.
Ah well, I live in hope that it will be resolved one day ... but judging by the (lack of) speed, I will not hold my breath
I'm having the same issue, still hasn't been resolved with SR2

Just an update on this. We know about the problem and it was logged as our reference CRQ-23550 (just in case anyone wants to verify this with their own support account). It has been fixed and will be rolled out in the next CU which will be CU9. I don't have timings on this yet but the intention is to do this as quickly as possible with as many important fixes in there as we can.
Apologies for the problems this has caused you, but hopefully this coming update will make a good difference for you.
