Hi there!
I have translated a 20 000 word document (batch 1) and will now translate next 20 000 words (batch 2). Batch 2 has 3000 words CM/100 % matches from Batch 1. Now, I am like 30 % into the translation of Batch 2 when I receive Batch 1 from proofreader/validator.
How can I update the CM/100 % matches so they comply with the changes done by the proofreader/validator?
- My idea is to create a new tm running the batch 1 through it.
- Then creating a new project for batch 2
- Then all the CM/100 % from batch 1 will be translated
- Then import my old tm with both the old segments that now is edited AND my new translations.
- Then open the project again and go manually through the segments I already had translated and see them become CM segments
Will this work or are there a trap I do not see? Or are there a better way? I was thinking of soultions involving filtering by date and other parameters but I have not done that before and am a bit worried about not seeing the whole picture.
Anyway, thanks for any input!
best, Knut
