I have an iMac with 2 Parallels virtual machines, one has SDL Trados Studio 2021 and the other still has SDL Trados Studio 2017.

I have a 3,300-word file to verify after translation and this is totally impossibile in Studio 2021. "Verify" takes ages and gets stuck in the middle of the process, the "Cancel" button doesn't work either and I have to force quit Studio in Task Manager.

I read this post (https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/f/studio/28533/why-does-it-take-up-to-15-minutes-to-verify-a-206-word-studio-file), so I tried to remove all the TMs, I disabled "Show error description (generates report slowly)", I verified the file again but nothing changed.

I then tried to use SDL Trados Studio 2017 on the very same file: the Verify process was completed successfuly in about 15 seconds and "Show error description (generates report slowly)" was even enabled.

In short, in Studio 2021, the Verify function takes ages with 500-word files and gets stuck with bigger files. Studio 2017 has never had this issue. What's the problem with Studio 2021?
