This is not an option/feature included in Trados Studio- as far as I'm aware, please check that there is some other third application that is enabled for this action.

Thanks for the answer. It's a shame that Trados seems to work differently from every other application on my system. For example, in Word, the cursor continues to flash for as long as the window is active. (There's also a slightly bigger space between the cursor and the last character, which would help with clarity of display.)

I'll just have to make sure I don't stop typing for more than 5 seconds at a time!

I'm sure you have a point there. And you can also point this out under our dedicated Ideas section, where the ideas coming from users, such as yourself, get voted by -again-, community users. The more votes the more probability will be for our internal devs to explore this idea and put it into action, if and where doable ;-)
