Studio 2019 won't generate Excel target

Question

Hi, 
 I'm attempting to generate an Excel target fil and receive the message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I have already tried recreating the source document (a very simple spreadsheet, all text) and it didn't help. I am on a deadline (of course). 
 I also tried exporting the translation for review. It will take me hours to transcribe the entire translation from the document generated. I need my target translation. Help!

 Also, did you create the project yourself? The more information we have, the better. 
 Finally let&rsquo;s test this: 
 
 In Windows Explorer create a copy of the source file. For example, file .xlsx to file2 .xlsx 
 Add file2.xlsx to your project in Trados Studio, but don't pre-translate it. 
 Generate target file. Does it work? 
 If so, now pre-translate it. Generate target file. Does it work?
