After resetting Trados Studio 2019 because of "Object not found error" the whitespace characters are no longer displayed.
HI Anthony Rudd
The way that I found to resolve this in the Editor window was is to open a file, then click into the Translation Memory window, then unclick the paragraph mark on the Home tab ribbon and re-click it.
This reactivated visible spaces in the Concordance window and the TM window.
So, try the same in the Translation Memories View, the whitespace characters 'paragraph mark' is on the View tab ribbon in this case...
Worth a try anyway... If that doesn't work, there's always the 'Reset Window Layout' button on the View tab ribbon.
Hope this helps!
All the best,
Ali
Thanks Alison - it also functioned for me, although I do not know why.
Hi Anthony Rudd, Bruce Campbell,
I've used this method before to reinforce settings that haven't 'taken'.
This probably sounds completely potty but I have a brain condition, a symptom of which is that it doesn't always 'connect' first time. For example, if I want to pick up something small, some part of my brain sends the usual command to my fingers but sometimes my fingers won't obey until I reinforce the 'command' by consciously rubbing the tips of my fingers together (using a more conscious part of my brain that is functioning correctly) to 'complete the command chain'.
I'm totally guessing but this scenario seems similar to me
Glad I was able to help, anyway!
