You can change most keyboard shortcuts via File>Options>Keyboard Shortcuts

However, please note- CTRL+INS is (by default) set as 'Copy Source to Target'.

The Insert shortcut for term Recognition cannot be changed but you can right-click the term and insert.

Ups, the shortcut for term recognition cannot be changed? I think SDL should change that.

The problem of pressing Insert is that sometimes, if you have not highlighted the term already, when pressing insert, I am changing the writing mode in the editor which is a mess...

I just wanted to change this with a different combination to make it easier...

That thing of right-clicking takes seconds and when you have a project with 10500 segments, investing just 2 seconds in 5.250 segments (the half of the project) means a delay of 2 x 5.250 = 10500 seconds / 60 = 175 minutes / 60 = 2,91 hours of delay.

People could think that loosing just 2 seconds is something insignificant, but for big projects, beleive, it is not, especially when you have tight deadlines.

Sad this shortcut cannot be changed.

Absolutely agree.  We already investigated this today and will submit a request to the dev team to make it possible to customise what is currently a hardcoded shortcut.  I don't know how log this will take... depends on priorities... but I will add your comments to the request and I'll add the dev number here shortly.
