Could it be that this text is in hidden rows and that you have ticked the checkbox to extract hidden content?

Thank you for reply. Unfortunately, the checkbox is not ticked.

Merged and centered cells only have one value, and I've just checked that Trados Studio extracts only 1 instance of it.

Can you confirm that a search for that string in whole workbook gives you only one result? If so, could you please post the file or a sample of the file and I'll have a look.

I managed to find a solution (it's not the best i guess, but works for me).

I unticked the "merge and center" option in excel and found this:

Now i deleted everything but the first column and merged & centered the cells back.

It may not be the easiest/fastest solution, but it worked for me for that file. Took me a around 30 minutes extra.

However, it would be great to find an easier solution regarding to bigger or more complex files in the future.

Anyway, strings were still there in the spread sheet, so Trados Studio extracted them correctly.

I don't know what's happening, but I guess that the spread sheet was created with an old Excel format or with a tool not really compatible with Microsoft Excel.
