I updated to the last version of studio yesterday and now it will not open. That is a first and I need it fast. Please take a look at the cryptic not for customer error popup I received instead. Please suggest best solultion and work arounds. Thanks.

Uninstall WorldServer Components via Control panel.

I did as you said and now it works. Thanks a lot! Does this mean packages from customers are not able to connect to WorldServer?
Yes, WS will not work now.
Try installing the WS components from here: gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge
