Trados complains about dependency files missing from my AppData folder after literally closing and then opening the same project

As can be seen, I don't normally use Trados on a day-to-day basis, and this is why.

Third question of the day.

I was working on a project in review mode. Four documents, opened together. Saved it, all fine.

I then quite literally open these four documents together once again in review mode a few seconds later and *now* Trados complains that each and every one of my four documents is missing a dependency document, all of which are clearly documents that Trados has saved in the AppData/temp folder in Windows. Which it has now apparently lost track of. Or deleted.

Completing the review and closing and reopening Trados makes zero difference. It now asks every time I open the project.

Anyone know what is going on?

To say that using SDL Studio 2021 is a frustrating experience is the understatement of the year.

  • Just show the program the source files. When you see "Dependancy not found" and are asked if you wanna browse for the files, say yes (or OK) and navigate to where the source files were. In the right lower corner change the name extension to *.xxx instead of whatever name Studio is looking for and chose the proper file. Then save the files and that will be all.
