Trados complains about dependency files missing from my AppData folder after literally closing and then opening the same project

As can be seen, I don't normally use Trados on a day-to-day basis, and this is why.

Third question of the day.

I was working on a project in review mode. Four documents, opened together. Saved it, all fine.

I then quite literally open these four documents together once again in review mode a few seconds later and *now* Trados complains that each and every one of my four documents is missing a dependency document, all of which are clearly documents that Trados has saved in the AppData/temp folder in Windows. Which it has now apparently lost track of. Or deleted.

Completing the review and closing and reopening Trados makes zero difference. It now asks every time I open the project.

Anyone know what is going on?

To say that using SDL Studio 2021 is a frustrating experience is the understatement of the year.

  • OK, so if you've got the package from the customer, unzip it, open the sdlixliff one by one, use File -> Advanced save -> Save source as and then you will have source.

For the future: check, which software (anti-viurs possibly) does clean the Windows tmp folder and stop this behavior.
