A new area of translation for me is the translation of tweets. I've previously used Excel to check the length of tweets in the target language, but Emojis didn't seem to be handled correctly. I was wondering whether Trados 2021 can handle Emojis and more importantly how I can set up the QA Checker to check being under 280 characters. I frequently get 20-30 tweets at a time so it might be a useful productivity hack. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
As for emojis, I'm afraid it is not yet implemented.
You can set your QA checker in the project settings (or in the project template for future reference) to report everything longer than 280 chars:
