Thank you for the details, I could partially recreate the issue. I will check this with the dev teams, in the meantime please go ahead with this workaround:

1. In the pop-up window with the dots suggesting the key, press the space bar - just like wanting to fill in with more characters, - and then delete it.

2. Now click OK and check if the provider is added to the project.

Today, the workaround was slightly different as the original one didn't work!

Click in the API field after the "fake" dots, press spacebar, don't delete the dots, then click OK.

No idea why this changed!

My explanations from top must have not been properly clarified, apologies for that, Bill. What I suggested was exactly this second workaround you mentioned, that is click in the API field where the dots are, do not remove them but add a space bar then delete the space bar with the "backspace" key. 

Anyway, I'm happy to inform that this has been reported internally, SDLCOM-3112 so the teams will look into it.
