AnyTM and automatically applying matches

Question

I have a number of projects where the original source text is English, with the target as Bambara (Bamanankan). In order to help the translators, I am attaching, using AnyTM, an ENG->FRA TM of the same document. Unfortunately, this is causing the matching French translation to be applied in the target cell. My current work-around is to turn off the " Apply Best Match after Successful lookup" setting (found in File > Options > Editor > Automation), and this does solve the immediate problem, but my concern is whether this will have unintended consequences that I don't want, such as preventing the automatic application of matches from TUs created in the ENG->BAM TM. Isn't there a way to prevent automatic application of matches from a specific TM?

Hi Brandon Dupuis , 
 The answer is straightforward "No", in the File>options ...all changes are done at global settings, so they apply to all TMs. 
 However, there are still some suggestions that you can use, if you want: 
 1. You could put a penalty to the AnyTM. This way you ensure the results are lower than 100% match so will not populate the segments. 
 
 2. You could also uncheck the "lookup" option but leave "concordance" checked. This way, you can perform a concordance search to get results.
